Christmas in August

While jingle bells are still a little ways off, I did find time this month to scrap some Christmas pictures. I loved the Lawn Fawn line Peace, Love, Joy that came out last year and finally got a chance to put it to use. I started with our family picture from last Christmas which we used for our family Christmas cards. The journaling idea - giving the number stats to tell the story - came from an idea from Angie Lucas' Grammar Free Journaling class at Big Picture Classes.

And as a bonus, I created a few holiday card embellishments with the triangle scraps left after I created the chevrons on my layout. Here's an example:
